In Memory

D. Bret Ball

We will all miss our friend.

D. Bret Ball, 34, died Dec. 9, 2005, at his home of malignant melanoma.

He was born Dec. 22, 1970, in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated from Rigby High School in
1989. He worked in Alaska at a fishery. He served an LDS mission in Tempe, Ariz., from 1990 to 1992. He attended Ricks College for one year.

He married Rachel Thompson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in September 1994. In 1999, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Idaho State University. He attended the Pacific University School of Optometry and graduated in 2003. They moved to Hanford, Calif., where he practiced as a doctor of optometry.

Bret cherished every minute with his wife and children; no words can express how much he will be missed by those who love him.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel; his children, Jessie and Nick Ball; his parents, David Ball of Rigby and Carolyn (Larry) Whitney of Firth; siblings, Brenda Taylor of Tucson, Ariz., Beckie Wolf and Bobbi Kirkham, both of Idaho Falls, and Belinda Miller of American Fork, Utah.
